Meet the 2026 Binnacle Boss winners

Three Certificate III in Business students turned big ideas into winning business pitches.

Reducing food waste, backing farmers and protecting vulnerable workers. This year’s Binnacle Boss winners tackled real problems with ideas that could become real businesses.

Binnacle Boss gives our Certificate III in Business students the chance to turn a passionate idea into a business pitch and show what they can do. This year, students from across the country impressed our judges with their innovative thinking, practical business strategies and commitment to making a difference. The judging panel had a tough job, but three pitches stood out.

First place: Dana Daddy, FreshTrack

Dana wins the $2000 Apple gift card with FreshTrack, a magnetic fridge board system with reusable clips that helps busy households track food expiry dates and cut food waste.

The judges were impressed by Dana’s strong business fundamentals, realistic cost analysis and clear go-to-market strategy.

Second place: Karli Nitschke, AgriEquip

Karli takes home a $500 Apple gift card for AgriEquip, an all-in-one farm management and machinery trading app that helps producers buy smarter and run more efficiently.

Karli’s pitch stood out for its market validation. She surveyed local farmers and agronomists to test her scalable membership model, so her idea was backed by real feedback from the people it’s designed for.

Third place: Gianniro Reyes, WorkBridge

Gianniro receives a $250 Apple gift card for WorkBridge, an employment platform with an AI Trust Assistant that helps protect temporary and migrant workers from workplace exploitation.

The judges highly commended the social impact of the idea, along with Gianniro’s smart B2B strategy to keep the app free for the people who need it most.

Congratulations to Dana, Karli and Gianniro, and thank you to every student who entered.
