Binnacle Training is proud to announce that our 2023 VET in Schools Conference (ViSC) will mark the 10th year of staging this annual flagship event in our Binnacle events calendar, with ‘ViSC10’ taking place on Friday 24th of November (Term 4, Week 8). Over the past decade, ViSC has grown into a powerful celebration of the Binnacle community and an opportunity for you – our wonderful teachers – to collaborate, share knowledge and foster connections.
Reflecting on the past ten years, we are proud of the evolution of ViSC into a Hybrid (Live + Virtual) Event, ensuring all of our Keynote and Industry Speakers are accessible to all Binnacle Deliverers across Queensland and the ACT. ViSC has consistently provided a stage for exceptional speakers, thought leaders, and industry experts who have enlightened us with their insight and experiences.
Similar to previous years, our Live (face-to-face) Event will be held at TAFE Southbank (66 Ernest Street, South Brisbane). It’s our hope to see as many of you there ‘live’ on the day and to unashamedly motivate – we will be providing a number of incentives for those who are able to commemorate our 10 Years of ViSC in person. As this will be a ticketed event, there will be limited seating for live attendees and therefore we encourage you to register quickly to secure your seat. For our teachers who can’t make it ‘live’ on the day, be assured your virtual experience will be one like no other via our state-of-the-art streaming platform – Elevate.
For our Live attendees, please register for your Industry Workplace Visit by selecting the button below. We’ve planned some incredible visits for you within South Brisbane.

Our theme for ViSC10, “Together”, symbolises the essence of our partnership with each of our amazing teachers. ViSC is about collaboration, sharing, and building lasting connections. With this in mind – and by careful design – ViSC10 will look a little different for our live and virtual attendees, which we’re very excited about! Using the power of “Together” we will again deliver a hybrid event that utilises one premium stage (for our Live attendees) and our state-of-the-art ‘Elevate’ virtual streaming platform for our Virtual attendees.
In a ViSC first, we’ll be enabling ALL Attendees (Live + Virtual) to engage in an Industry Workplace Visit (either in-person or virtually depending on your ticket type). This new format will provide a networking and connection opportunity like no other – utilising enhanced online chat features and face-to-face touch points to collaborate and share this milestone – “Together”. In great news, your attendance at ViSC10 will satisfy all THREE of your Part 4 Binnacle Profile Requirements!
If you have already satisfied your Semester 2, 2023 requirement we will ensure this satisfies your requirement for Semester 1, 2024.
