Thank you for tuning into our 2023 Semester 1 Workshop!

Our 2023 Semester 1 Workshop was designed to provide you (our Binnacle Teachers) with up-to-date information from leading industry professionals and practitioners across the fields of – Sport and Recreation, Fitness, Business and Tourism whilst elevating your ‘trainer and assessor capacity’.

Similar to last year, our Semester 1 Workshop was split across 2-days and was delivered as a virtual event, with our Business and Tourism Workshop occurring on Day 1, Thursday 4th May with our Sport, Fitness and Recreation (SFR) Workshop taking place on Day 2, Friday 5th May.

The theme of this year’s workshop, “Building Together” – reflects on our commitment to real, collaborative and trusting partnerships between Binnacle Training, your School, Teachers and Industry. In 2023, we will be “Building Together” to:

  • ‘Make Life Easier for Teachers’ – leveraging technology to make our events and teacher experiences more accessible.
  • Formalise stakeholder partnerships via our ‘new’ Statewide Strategy for Binnacle-organised Industry Workplace Visits – opening the door for various face-to-face touch points and allowing teachers to connect, share and remain industry current.
  • Create impactful relationships built on insight, innovation and teacher support.

HOW TO MAXIMISE THE DAY?

Our mission is to provide you with the greatest amount of value possible! This being the case, we want to ensure you are able to capitalise on the information being shared with you across the entire two day. To do so, we suggest the following:

  • Log into ‘Elevate’ – our ‘Virtual Streaming Platform’ in the lead-up to the event to familiarise yourself with its functionality. This will be available to all registered attendees.
  • All attendees should have a fully charged device (either a phone, tablet or laptop). This will allow you to engage with teachers all over the state via a live chat feed, contribute to ongoing polls, and an opportunity to have your questions responded to by our presenters in each session.
  • Make sure your device has a good internet connection so you don’t miss out on the information addressed in each session due to lag or dropouts.
  • If you are tuning in with your colleagues, we stress the importance of logging into the event from your own device to ensure you’ll be awarded with your Semester 1 Industry and VET PD at the completion of the event.
