Did you know Mel (Binnacle Training Director) is one of Australia’s greatest cricketers?

Mel developed a passion for cricket when she was growing up, her family are cricket mad and both of her brothers Brad and Aaron (Binnacle Trainings’ CEO) played while her dad was the team coach. One day their team (U12 Norths) were short a player and Mel stepped up to fill the gap. After that there was no stopping her and she was soon the best cricketer in the family.

  • Inaugural inductee into the Queensland Women’s Hall of Fame
  • 122 one day games for Queensland (most by a women’s cricketer)
  • all-time leading run scorer for Qld
  • 23 matches for Australia (two Tests and 21 ODI’s)
  • first female to score a T20 hundred (v Tasmania in 2011)
  • Was a member of the Queensland Fire team that won the Women’s T20 competition in 2014.

Recently, Mel and her Cricket achievements were featured in the Queensland Times (local Ipswich Newspaper).
