Our mission at Binnacle Training is to enable teachers with quality programs and support at an affordable price point for our schools.

Program Fee – Inclusions

The Program Fee is in consideration for the overall management of each Certificate Program offering (i.e. Dual Qualification offerings and Stand-Alone Qualification offerings) only. First Aid and Short Courses do not incur a Program Fee.

SUPPORT

Ongoing support, mentoring and in-servicing of each delivering teacher (Program Deliverer). This includes a dedicated Binnacle Management Team assigned to your school – including Binnacle Program Manager, Administration Officer, and VET Manager.

BINNACLE LOUNGE

24/7 access to Binnacle Training’s custom online platform for schools (the Binnacle Lounge). This is the centrepiece for all program resources, learning, assessment and live student progress reporting for all program-related stakeholders at your school (teachers, students, administrators).

REAL-TIME REPORTING

A real-time progress report (both class- and student-specific) accessible 24/7 for each Program Deliverer, Program Manager(s) and VET Manager assigned to your school via the Binnacle Lounge.

CUSTOM SUPPORT

An individualised support program for each New Deliverer, including custom webinars, check-ins, and Teacher HR support.

INDUSTRY CURRENCY

Program-specific alerts, reminders, broadcasts and VET/Industry updates – currency!

TEACHER EVENTS

Binnacle’s FREE annual events for teachers including Binnacle Workshops (Terms 1-2) and our VET in Schools Conference (ViSC) in Term 4. These events are located at central venues throughout the State for all program delivering (including back-up) teachers – satisfying both Industry PD and VET PD requirements for teachers and providing valuable networking opportunities.

VIRTUAL

Free virtual solutions and content for teachers who are unable to attend a live event, including opportunities for teacher engagement and networking.

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Opportunities for additional teacher industry PD via James Cook University Brisbane’s Professional Partners Program (of which Binnacle Training is a partner).

NETWORKING

Additional networking and professional development events for all participating teachers, hosted by Binnacle.

DIGITAL RESOURCES

A new release of digital program resources (including all planning documents), updated annually.

SUBJECT SELECTION PACKS

Subject selection information packs (course-specific) for students/parents, updated annually.

FAST TRACK VCU

An online, program-specific Vocational Competence Update (VCU) – specifically designed for delivering teachers to fast track their demonstration of vocational competence. Saving teachers time!

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

Sourcing of additional services to maximise program success – including program-related equipment, membership subscriptions and other PD activities for teachers.

COMMUNITY

An online VET in Schools community for VET Teacher professionals.

DISCOUNTS FOR ALUMNI

Discounts for Binnacle graduates into pathways courses via Binnacle Training’s network of professional partners.

Wellbeing

‘Binnacle Wellbeing’ support for teachers. This initiative was launched at ViSC 2019 and has been a cornerstone of our teacher events and support program ever since.
